Dubrovnik, Croatia

I woke up at 6:30 because the boat was shaking as it docked in Dubrovnik Croatia.  It is hard to believe that this city was 70% destroyed and war torn during the mid 1990's during the conflict.   I went to the gym and did weight lifting and then came back to the cabin and got ready..Craig finally woke up at 9 am...we got off the ship at 10 am and went to Old Town Dubrovnik which is now my new favorite little place.  They are not a member of the EU so the money goes further.  the old city was stunning and gorgeous...a walled city built on a cliff over the meditteranean with tuquioise water.  Words can not describe how stunning it was.  You could also walk the wall/rampart around the city which we did ...it was a grueling hot walk with lots of steps...thankfully Craig and I walk the same fast pace.   WE then stopped at the convent, the monastery, and the cathedral.  Then had lunch on a quaint little back street outdoor cafe.  It was perfect.   We then got back to port....

Croatia is my 33rd country and I was bummed they didn't stamp my passport....so when we got back to the port I went over to customs and asked if they would stamp it for me...they did.  My passport is almost full again! :)   So I'm just taking a break...Craig is already back on ship and I'm going to go shopping before I get on the ship.  Then I may take a Yoga class and then dinner, gamble, and the casino.  FYI...I know it sounds like I'm gambling a lot...but there is only one little area in the casino where smoking is permitted and it is the penny slots...so I can play for hours and not lose more than $10.  The sad thing is I won a jackpot Triple Bonus Plums..and it yielded 1800 pennies....18.00!! LOL.

Tomorrow we arrive in Venice, Italy where we actually dock for two days and spend the night..
